Involvement with purebred dogs began in 1966 with the purchase of two German Shepherd sisters. Offspring of these girls competed in Conformation, Obedience and were trained for use by the police for tracking and narcotics. One dog became the first GSD to parachute into Vietnam . 

In the early 70's Irish Setters entered the picture.  The kennel name was changed to 'Owl Inn phonetic spelling for howling.  The Irish Setters competed in Conformation, Obedience and Field.

Unable to keep up with the big dogs, it was time to downsize.  Penny, a Ruby bitch, was purchased in 1995.  Penny produced Ch. ‘Owl Inn’s Alias Jessie James ( Bandit), who subsequently sired Ch. Kibergo Well Red At Tallygold.  All our breeding stock are checked annually by Board Certified Cardiologists and Ophthalmologists.  They are also Hip and Patella clear prior to breeding. 

Our dogs are first and foremost house dogs.  They sleep on our beds.  Our pups are raised in the living room.
